5 odd years ago I was commissioned to create a piece celebrating Belfast history for Dead Center Tours. This piece ‘Belfast Romances’ was a mash up of romance comics, b-movie posters, laser cats and all the Belfast landmarks I could fit on one wall.
This winter took its toll on the wall and Dead Center Tours commissioned me to create a new piece but this time I wanted to get away from paste ups and spray paints and try to continue with painting just with paint pens. This wall is pretty massive so it was quite a task.
There are a lot of little hidden historical details throughout the picture and if you want to take a closer look here is a composite image of the piece as its hard to get the whole piece in one photos.
