This summer I curated an exhibition in Atom Gallery in London called Time of the Signs which showcased artist made and modified street signs from around the world. One of my pieces was a version of this one but on a much more battered street sign because I love a bit of battered street sign. My piece in Time of the Signs sold and when I returned to Belfast I found another much cleaner one way sign in my studio and I thought I’d have a go at doing a more shiny and polished piece.
This is that piece.
One Way is a mixture of silk screen printing and painting onto a ‘found’ reflective one way street sign. This sign has 2 built in aluminium ridges on the back and is also signed and titled on the back.
This piece has a diameter of 59cm and it is generally a bloody lovely art work.
It also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
This piece will be posted with Royal Mail Tracked48. This is a more expensive service but it is fast and nothing ever goes missing in the post.
