Description
With this screen print I was trying to create an art work that illustrates the struggle of trying to make sense of the world. I wanted this piece to encapsulate some of the positivity as well as confusion that is part and parcel of living in the information age during a pandemic.
It took me a week to come up with the title for this piece. Are You Sitting Comfortably? Is a line that conjures ideas of storytelling, coupled with a kind of unpoken unease and I think that this is pretty apt for this screen-print.
This piece is a mix of screen printing and hand finished painting onto grey acid free paper.
Are You Sitting Comfortably? is a variable edition of 10 and measures 50 x 65 cm.
As each of piece from this editition is hand finished then each one is different from the last. The piece pictured is the last one I have worked on in the edition and is the only one available at the moment.
This piece is numbered and signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
