Description
With this piece I was trying to create an art work that illustrates the struggle of sitting down and trying to make sense of the world. I wanted this painting to encapsulate some of the positivity as well as confusion that is part and parcel of living in the information age during a pandemic.
It took me a week to come up with the title for this piece. Are You Sitting Comfortably? Is a line that conjures ideas of storytelling, coupled with a kind of unpoken unease and I think that this is pretty apt for this painting.
This piece is a mix of screen printing and painting onto a raw linen canvas and the canvas measures 50 x 75 cm with a depth of 1.5 cm.
