In mid September I was invited to Newcastle (County Down) to paint at a paint jam that ran concurrently with the Irish Open.
I know nothing about golf except golf courses are green deserts so that rich people can to pretend to be in the countryside without all the mucky stuff like wildlife and mud. I have been working on a couple of canvases with this guy on a horse and I really wanted to try it out on a large scale wall so I ditched the massive paint brush he was carrying instead of a lance and replaced it with a golf club. Hey Presto! A golf painting!
